Recently, the CBRC held a special meeting to study and deploy the banking insurance industry to support the development of the Yangtze River economic belt. Zhou Liang, member of the Party committee and vice chairman of the CBRC, presided over the meeting and made a speech.
The meeting stressed that the development of the Yangtze River economic belt is a major decision made by the Central Committee of the CPC under the new historical conditions, which is centered on Comrade Xi Jinping. It is a major strategy that concerns the overall development of the country, and is of great significance to China's dream of achieving the goal of "two one hundred years" and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The meeting pointed out that in recent years, the CBRC has earnestly implemented the instructions and requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on the development of the Yangtze River economic belt, actively carried out its work and achieved good results. First, we should establish and improve the system and mechanism, and improve the efficiency of policy transmission and supervision. Second, we will vigorously develop green finance, improve product service system and organization system, and accurately support green development. Third, we will continue to expand credit delivery and increase support for infrastructure, industrial transformation, Rural Revitalization and other fields. Fourth, strengthen the role of insurance guarantee, effectively give full play to the advantages of long-term investment of insurance funds, and promote the innovation and development of environmental pollution liability insurance, shipping insurance, science and technology insurance, agricultural insurance, etc.
The meeting called for the development of the Yangtze River economic belt, we must deeply understand the spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, accurately grasp the development of new situations and new tasks, take the initiative to play a positive role. First, we should put the support of ecological priority and green development first, transform ecological requirements into financial service requirements and identify the key points of work. Second, we will fully serve the peak carbon and carbon neutralization goals, innovate product services and help realize the value of ecological products.
