In May 2019, consumer prices rose by 2.7% year-on-year. Among them, urban rose 2.7%, rural rose 2.8%; food prices rose 7.7%, non-food prices rose 1.6%; consumer prices rose 3.2%, service prices rose 1.9%. From January to May, the average consumer price of the whole country rose by 2.2% compared with the same period last year.
In May, consumer prices were flat in the whole country. Among them, the prices of cities and rural areas rose by 0.1%, food prices rose by 0.2%, non-food prices remained flat, consumer prices rose by 0.1%, and service prices fell by 0.1%.
